Vaccines 1.4.2:

Part I:
Visit the NOVA Making Vaccines site:    http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/meningitis/vaccines.html. Complete the Making Vaccines activity. Take notes on the six different methods for producing vaccines. For each type of vaccine make sure to describe the steps involved in the development of the vaccine, summarized in no more than four steps, as well as include an example of a vaccine produced by each method.
Part II: Recombinant DNA Technology
Now that you have researched the types of vaccine preparations, you will simulate the production of a vaccine through recombinant DNA technology.
1.    Open your laboratory journal to the drawing of a bacterial cell you created in Lesson 1.2 and review the way in which bacteria store genetic information.
2.    Answer Conclusion question 3-4.
